Bettendorf Family Photographer || Iowa Photographer 

 

Hey guys!  As most of you know, Ashley Bowman Photography will be relocating to the Quad Cities IL/IA area in November of 2018!  It’s hard to explain what exactly we are feeling as we get closer and closer to the month of November.  Excitement to be back in our home town area, around our family and friends, and to no more moves.  Sad because we will be leaving some really great friends and a beautiful island that has become our second home.  Nervous, because change is hard and moving your entire business might possibly be harder.  Honestly, I think it’s safe to say that we are feeling almost every emotion in the book but that has to be normal, right?  Change is never easy but this is what we want and we are welcoming it with open arms!

 

I met Sarah during my time on Oahu.  She’s a fellow photographer and we’ve been in contact a ton through social media.  I’m obsessed with her little family and couldn’t wait to get them in front of my camera.  I just knew how tight knit they were by all of her posts and I wanted the chance to show their fun and affectionate connection through my lens.  We had a particular look we were shooting for as Kahana Bay does seem to be dreary a lot of evenings.  We wanted some colors that would really pop agains those beautiful, lush green mountains.  The burgundy red is my absolute favorite right now and I can guarantee you guys will be seeing a lot more of that color.  I’ve been wanting to incorporate a little more Bohemian style along with more rich colors.  Suspenders and rompers are two of my favorite things and the lace on Sarahs dress adds beautiful texture.

 

Below are some highlights from our evening together!  I can’t wait for you guys to see see our little friend who decided to make a visit too! I’m not sure what he was doing so far into the sand but he was adorable to say the least!
