Oahu Surfer Couple Photography – Kevin & Shayla – Hawaii Engagement Photographer

 

What better way to capture this beautiful couple than to incorporate something into their session that the both of them love. Surfing!

My best friend Rae and I both absolutely loved the idea of them bringing their surfboards and getting into the water!  We met up with Kevin and Shayla at a small beach in Kailua. This is one of the only beaches with calm water so we decided to have their session here so that neither of our cameras would get wet when we got into the water!

 

Kevin and Shayla were amazing together-the connection was there and so real.  I love capturing that natural connection between couples and I adore when it shows. These two both grew up on the Oahu Island and have been surfing for quiet awhile. I think it’s so cool to see the different things you learn depending on where you were born and raised!

This type of session is actually one of my favorites because it truly shows off an activity that Hawaii has to offer.  I don’t know about you but when I think about Hawaii I think beach, sand, sun, and surfing.  There are literally so many outdoor activities here and surfing is just one of them!
