Hicks Family at Bellows Beach Park – Oahu Family Photographer

I’m going to start off being a little honest here…  When Vanessa contacted me about taking her family’s Christmas photos I was quite nervous!  Vanessa is such an amazing photographer herself and I can’t believe she choose me to capture this special time for them!  Luckily, I’ve known Vanessa for several months now and was comfortable with being around her.  I’ve met her girls a few times and her husband once so that definitely help!

We actually had a prior day scheduled for their session but due to rain, we had to reschedule.  This family met me at Bellows the first time, all dolled up and ready to go, but it literally started pouring on us!  Although we are constantly checking the weather as photographers, we are definitely not the weather man and this time of year in Hawaii is very unpredictable.  The radar said no rain in site but yet it starting down pouring on us!

I met the Hicks Family a few days later for another shot at their family photos.  This time we lucked out and had no rain! There was a little more wind than we would have liked but that’s ok, we can definitely work with the wind!

I seriously loved working with the Hicks Family! It’s always so fun being able to watch families interact and learn a little about each individual family during our time together!  My absolute favorite thing about my job is witnessing the love shared between families and having the chance to capture those special moments for them!
