I met the Woollen Family during Thanksgiving of 2017 and man, do I wish we all would have met sooner! I felt so welcomed into their home for that year for dinner.  If you are military or even living far from your family, you completely understand how huget this is!  I feel like the few months our families got to spend together wasn’t long enough and of course it just doesn’t feel fair when you meet other families that you vibe so well with, only for one of you to move.

When Alexa asked me to photograph her family before leaving I felt so honored!  Of course, I wanted to capture these special memories for them to always remember this beautiful Island and the time they spent here.  We decided on Lulumahu as their location, which has recently become off limits, sadly.  I was so happy that we were able to photograph her family at this beautiful location before this all happened.  I will never get over the lush green scenery, mountain views, and also being able to see the tops of these giant trees for as far as you can see.  There is nothing else like it.  Below are some highlights of my time with this family!
